The MINIkey is a self-contained keypad system for the control of a single door or gate entrance. It is engineered to be rugged and vandal resistant but crafted for interior or exterior use. It consists of a brushed stainless steel faceplate and a recessed, sidelit metal keypad for excellent visibility in bright sunlight and in total darkness. Despite its compact size, the MINIkey is loaded with many features not normally found in other stand-alone access systems. For applications that require an entry and exit reader, the MINIkey supports a second keypad unit that connects directly to the master unit. The MINIkey truly complements any gated entrance. If you require a more elegant design, the MINIkey System may be ordered with a polished stainless steel or polished brass finish.

In the event power is removed from the unit, the database information is retained in the memory, ensuring immediate
start-up and operation when power is restored.

Physical inputs and power connections contain some protection against typical voltage spikes. However, in an area where
lightning is prevalent, external surge suppressors should be used to minimize damage to the system.

variable entry code length - For increased convenience, entry codes can be programmed using 4 or 5 digits and can
activate a single relay or both relays.
strikes & outs - The MINIkey can disable the keypad for 3 minutes if an unauthorized user has attempted too many
incorrect entry codes. The system can be programmed to permit from 1 to 10 attempts prior to engaging the lockout.
two relays - For greater control at the site the MINIkey supports two relays, one for the main unit and one auxiliary relay to
support the optional remote keypad or status inputs up to 500 feet from the main unit. These relays can be controlled
individually or together.
programmable relay times - Each relay may be programmed independently to activate from 2 to 255 seconds.
time clock - This feature makes possible the use of a dealer-supplied time clock to prevent entry to the facility at a
specified time.
non-volatile memory - In the event power is removed from the unit, the database information is retained in the memory,

code to close.
password protection - The MINIkey can be customized with a 6-digit numerical password to ensure the security of the
programmed database information.

Options
flush mounting kit - For a custom built-in look, the MINIkey system can be installed with a flush mount kit onto any flat
surface.
remote keypad - A surface mount remote keypad can be installed, in tandem with a MINIkey, for protecting any additional
entry or exit location at the site.
